Hi there! I'm Jordan Elina, an independent digital artist based in Texas. I spent my college years studying 3D Animation, but fell in love with a more two-dimensional medium when I graduated in 2020. I'd always enjoyed creating digital art as a student, but during the pandemic, I found stability in painting everyday.
In my abstract paintings, I like to explore elements of color, texture, and movement, and the harmony or chaos they can create. I enjoy the meditative experience of creating abstract art, where I can let go of perfectionism, and allow my intuition to guide my pen. Each piece has a life and energy all its own, but as a whole, my style tends towards the ethereal and intangible, the dynamic, and fluid: like a living memory, an indescribable emotion, a thread of reality, or a moment that never existed.
I stumbled into the world of pattern design when exploring how my paintings would look as a repeating pattern. I loved how, due to the abstracted nature of both pieces, it transformed into something both familiar and new. I find inspiration in nature, my home, my interests and my hobbies, and, of course, my paintings. As with my paintings, my patterns vary from the whimsical to the dramatic, with abstract and illustrative elements.
In my downtime, I love to stay creative with various crafting and sewing projects, reading something from the library, or spending my time with my family.
All paintings and patterns are available for licensing unless otherwise noted, feel free to reach out via my contact form for licensing, collaboration, or commission inquiries.
